A Walk in Her Shoes - Glenville - Year 2

On October 5, 2024, My Sister's Keeper-Cleveland hosted the 7th annual A Walk in Her Shoes at GlenVillage in partnership with Councilman Kevin Conwell and hosted by Tru North. The event was a tremendous success, drawing 346 participants.

  • Participation: The event saw its highest turnout yet, with 346 participants, including survivors, healthcare professionals, and local residents.

  • Event Opening: The walk was led by the Euclid Sonic Storm Marching Band, whose vibrant performance energized participants and set a celebratory tone for the day.

  • Health Screenings and Resources: Over 1,100 connections to health services and community resources were made, with 62 individuals receiving free HIV screenings. Other impactful engagements included literacy programs, wellness services, and more.

  • Community Impact: Post-event surveys reflected a notable increase in attendees' knowledge of cancer prevention and treatment options. Emotional support, motivation, and networking opportunities also emerged as significant outcomes for participants.
