Record-Breaking A Walk in Her Shoes Event
My Sister's Keeper-Cleveland hosted our largest-ever A Walk in Her Shoes event, with over 360 participants and 30 resource organizations joining us for this impactful day.
The event was made even more memorable by the talented Euclid Sonic Storm Marching Band, who led the way with energy and spirit. We were honored to be escorted by two local police districts (4th and 5th Districts), ensuring a safe and seamless walk through the community.
This incredible turnout and support reflect the power of unity and shared purpose as we continue to raise awareness and provide resources for women impacted by cancer. It was
truly a day to remember and a testament to the strength of our community.
Launch of Waiting Room Watchers
We proudly introduced Waiting Room Watchers, a unique service designed to support caregivers by providing compassionate childcare in hospital waiting rooms.
With trained caregivers offering a safe and nurturing environment, this program addresses a critical need for families navigating the challenges of cancer treatment. Waiting Room Watchers ensures that caregivers can focus on their loved ones while knowing their children are in good hands.
This initiative embodies our mission to provide holistic, wraparound services and support to those impacted by cancer. We’re excited to see this program grow and make a lasting impact!
The Pretty in Pink Warrior Coronation Gala
We hosted the unforgettable Pretty in Pink Warrior Coronation Gala, a celebration of strength, resilience, and transformation. This elegant event honored cancer survivors—our warriors—and their incredible journeys, crowning them as the true queens they are.
As part of the evening, Community Impact Awards were presented to individuals and organizations who have gone above and beyond in supporting our mission and making a difference in the lives of women impacted by cancer.
The night was filled with joy, empowerment, and unity, showcasing the beauty of survival, sisterhood, and collective impact. The Warrior Coronation Gala was a powerful reminder of the strength within our community and the importance of standing together in support of one another. It was truly a night to remember and one of the highlights of our 2024 journey!

Recognized as Nonprofit of the Year

Launch of the Middle Sister Program
We proudly introduced the Middle Sister Program, designed to support women transitioning from active cancer treatment to recovery. This program focuses on providing resources for physical and emotional healing while continuing mentorship from our Big Sisters.
The Middle Sister Program reflects our commitment to holistic care, ensuring that women are empowered during every phase of their journey. It’s a powerful addition to the wraparound services we offer, and we’re excited to see the impact it will have on the lives of our Sisters!
Future Goals for 2025
Compassionate Care Training: We are excited to announce our plans to introduce transformative training programs in 2025, equipping healthcare providers with the tools to deliver exceptional patient-centered care and foster greater empathy in every interaction.
Program Expansion: Extending our reach to new communities, empowering more women to face their journeys with hope and resilience.
Strengthening Partnerships: Deepening collaborations with healthcare providers, chefs, and community organizations to enhance service delivery and impact.

A Walk in Her Shoes - Saturday, October 4, 2025: A Walk in Her Shoes is a powerful and uplifting event celebrating the resilience, strength, and courage of individuals impacted by cancer. Initially focused on breast cancer, it has expanded to honor and support those affected by all types of cancer, creating a broader and more inclusive impact.
Participants and supporters come together to walk side by side, symbolizing solidarity and hope, while raising funds to provide essential resources and services for those navigating their cancer journeys. The event also features on-site cancer screenings and health information provided by local healthcare partners. More than just a walk, it’s a movement of empowerment, awareness, and sisterhood, driving meaningful change and promoting wellness.
Premiere Night: A Warrior’s Walk: Step into an evening of inspiration and transformation at the premiere of A Warrior’s Walk, a compelling documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the Pretty in Pink Warrior Coronation. Witness the powerful stories of courage, resilience, and triumph as these remarkable individuals share their journeys of overcoming adversity and embracing their inner strength.
Sisters’ Soirees: Afternoon gatherings featuring art therapy, candle making, and other wellness activities to foster connection and empowerment.
Prayer Circles Revival: Weekly virtual sessions to provide spiritual support and a sense of community for all Sisters.
Big Sister Training & Development: Virtual workshops designed to equip mentors with the skills needed to support Little Sisters effectively.
