My Sister's Keeper is honored to announce Danielle Wiggins as this year's Mistress of Ceremony.

Danielle Wiggins is an Emmy and Gracie award-winning journalist at WKYC Studios 3News, Northeast Ohio’s NBC affiliate. She currently serves as an anchor and reporter for the Tuesday through Saturday editions of the GO! morning show.

Before joining 3News in 2013, Danielle was the main producer and correspondent for “The Regina Brett Show” on 89.7 WKSU, Northeast Ohio’s regional NPR affiliate. "The Regina Brett Show" won multiple state and national awards under Danielle's leadership, including an Ohio Excellence in Journalism award for best radio show.

Danielle credits Regina Brett, a breast cancer survivor and advocate, for helping to save her life. Regina’s advocacy for breast self-exams and mammograms led Danielle to find a lump in her breast a month before her first scheduled mammogram. That mass turned out to be stage 1 breast cancer. After going through treatment and returning to work, Danielle teamed with WKYC 3News to launch the “Do it for Danielle” series, an initiative to encourage breast self-exams and mammograms through impactful storytelling highlighting people affected by the disease and local organizations set up to help.

Danielle holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kent State University. She is a graduate of Bedford High School and lives in northern Summit County with her husband, two children, and rescue pup.
