Comfort Keepers is a heartfelt initiative by MySKCle r designed to provide emotional support, companionship, and a communication bridge to families for women facing cancer during their most vulnerable moments. Whether in an inpatient or outpatient setting, this program ensures that no sister feels alone by offering a comforting presence and assisting in retaining or relaying important information to loved ones about their care and progress.


  1. Provide Emotional Support:Offer compassionate companionship to women undergoing cancer treatment.

  2. Foster Connection and Comfort:Engage in meaningful conversations or provide silent support to ensure sisters feel cared for.

  3. Reduce Isolation:Ensure women feel surrounded by a community of love and support during their cancer journey.

  4. Support Communication with Families:Assist in retaining important information from care providers and communicating it to family members to ensure clarity and peace of mind.

Key Program Components:

  1. Volunteer Visits:Inpatient Support: Volunteers visit sisters in hospital rooms to offer emotional comfort and companionship.
    Outpatient Support: Companionship is also available during outpatient treatments or recovery periods.

  2. Companionship Activities:Engaging in uplifting conversations.
    Providing a listening ear for emotional expression.
    Simply being present to provide silent support and comfort.

  3. Family Communication Assistance:Volunteers can help sisters retain or relay key information from care providers to family members, ensuring that loved ones remain informed about treatment updates and progress.

  4. Volunteer Training:Volunteers receive training to ensure they provide compassionate, non-intrusive support tailored to the unique needs of cancer patients, including guidance on assisting with communication needs.

  5. Coordination and Scheduling:Visits are scheduled in coordination with the sister's preferences and availability to ensure a seamless experience.
