A Walk in Her Shoes - Buckeye - Year 1

On October 9, 2021, My Sister's Keeper-Cleveland brought A Walk in Her Shoes to a new location in Buckeye, in partnership with MetroHealth. This event marked the beginning of an exciting chapter, combining the passion of My Sister’s Keeper-Cleveland with MetroHealth’s commitment to community health and wellness.

The event featured the signature symbolic walk, where participants showed their support for women impacted by cancer. Attendees also benefited from on-site health resources provided by MetroHealth, including educational materials and screenings, further emphasizing the importance of early detection and preventative care.

As with previous years, the event was a celebration of strength, resilience, and community, with powerful survivor testimonials (from warriors), activities for all ages, and an atmosphere of unity and empowerment. Proceeds from the event supported My Sister's Keeper-Cleveland’s mission to provide a supportive community for women undergoing cancer treatment.
